The Holy Trinity Catholic School Division Invitational Volleyball tournament made a return to the courts after a couple of year hiatus due to the pandemic. Eight girls' teams and six boys' teams were scheduled to take part in the November 4th and 5th tournament that was once again held at Vanier Collegiate. After some tremendous round robin action that featured several close matches, it all came down to Sacred Heart versus St. Michael in both finals. In the boy’s final, St. Michael School captured the championship with scores of 25-22 and 25-17, while the girl’s championship was also captured by St. Michael School with scores of 25-12 and 25-19.
Next up on the HTCSD athletics calendar is the volleyball league playoffs, which begin with the quarter-finals on Monday the 14th, semi-finals on the 15th with the finals taking place at Vanier on the 17th beginning at 6:00 pm.
