You are invited to celebrate with the Saskatchewan Literacy Network and the nine Family Literacy Hubs by joining a free livestream event on January 27 at 10:30am CST. Local co-authors Bernice Johnson-Laxdal and Miriam Körner share from their book, “When the Trees Crackle with Cold: A Cree Calendar”.

In addition, four provincial parks: Great Blue Heron, Buffalo Pound, Echo Valley and Pike Lake Provincial Parks, will be offering “When the Trees Crackle with Cold: A Cree Calendar” as a StoryWalk® during Family Literacy Week. For park event details visit parks.saskatchewan.ca.

Gravelbourg-based College Mathieu provides province-wide French language family literacy programming and resources. College Mathieu will be distributing the book Les Amis Qui Voulaient Jouer Au Hockey by Canadian author Nicholas Oldland to enhance family literacy programming related to the 2022 theme of ‘Apprendre en plein air’.
