# Get Loud About what MENTAL HEALTH really is.

Did you know that CMHA Mental Health Week is right around the corner? Observed May 6-12, 2019, this week focuses on reducing the stigma of mental illness and promoting good mental health for all Canadians. This year’s core message is “Get loud about what mental health really is”.

211 Saskatchewan recognizes the invaluable services that organizations like yours offer which help to improve people’s mental health and wellbeing—in big, small, direct, or indirect ways. We are proud to help citizens connect with these important services in the method most comfortable to them, whether by phone, text, web chat, or an independent online search.

Mental health is consistently one of the top-searched topics on our website, and our Community Navigators report high rates of inquiries for mental health services. Stats also indicate that 211 SK service users range from individuals looking for help for themselves, family/friends looking for a loved one, or service providers looking for a client. We continue to promote 211 as a service truly for everyone.

211 Saskatchewan is deeply appreciative of your continued support. Please note, we are happy to have shifted our verification process to a new simplified online form – if you receive a verification email and have any questions, please do not hesitate to call me. Further, if you are looking to educate your staff and/or clients about our service, feel free to call or email me to discuss options, such as ordering pamphlets, adding the 211 SK link/logo to your website, or requesting a custom presentation.

Let’s #GetLoud! You can help spread the word by sharing any posts that resonate with your organization (check out our Facebook and Twitter pages) – we’ll be posting regularly throughout May about mental health and using 211 to connect to mental health services.
