Coronavirus Update

The global response to COVID-19 has shifted with governments and public health authorities implementing strategies to mitigate and prepare for further transmission. There is an increasing role for individuals to take personal, preventative measures to protect themselves from COVID-19 and reduce the risk of transmission in our communities.

At this time, the science supports that the majority of confirmed cases will be mild and individuals will be sent home to recover, preserving the acute care system for those who are most seriously ill. The Ministry of Health and the Saskatchewan Health Authority are undertaking the necessary planning to support the healthcare system in the event of confirmed cases. However, preparedness is not limited to the healthcare sector and all organizations and agencies should be looking at their business continuity planning to support their work places and processes.
